GUN DOGS
The English Cocker is no doubt one of the oldest types of land spaniel. Their origins can be traced back to 14th century Spain. Prior to the 1600’s all types of spaniels were categorised together; the larger ones being used to spring game and the smaller ones to flush out woodcock. Hence the names Springer and Cocker were derived. In 1892, the Kennel Club of Great Britain differentiated the two breeds separately. In the 1930’s, the Cocker was the most popular breed of dog in Britain and there he stayed for almost 20 years! On the other side of the Atlantic, Americans were using the same breeding stock to develop a slightly different Cocker. In 1940, the Kennel Club then split these Spaniels into American and English.
Highly intelligent dogs who are very easily trained, Cockers like to please and are eager to learn.

A handsome dog bred by ourselves. He is a working Cocker Spaniel and is available for stud. He has sired pups of various colours and litters of around 6 and 7, he has also had a 100% success rate to date. Fitch has an excellent pedigree with many FTCHs, and his father being Priorsmeadow Santino who is the son of FTCH Maesydderwen Spartan. Fitch is DNA health tested and clear of FN and PRA-PRCD. Fitch is a strong hunting dog as well as being biddable. He is strong, muscular and has a very gentle and sweet nature. He is extremely loyal, affectionate and humble.The cost for stud is £350 and this is for 2 matings 24 hours apart. We can accommodate your bitch if needed. He oozes style and drive and excels in any cover that he faces..Sonny natural retrieving ability is a joy to watch.

of dogs and cats. She works extremely hard to maintain a high level of cleanliness
that is evident throughout Tudor Lodge Kennels and Cattery. Over the past 9 years, her dedication is second to none, all customers and animals love her, she is rarely found without a squeegee
in hand. Lesley is also a qualified Micro-chipper.
